This trip was actually not a separate scoping trip, but tacked onto the visit to Canal Plastics. I’ve been wanting to pay this store a proper visit for awhile now, and shopping for the Supertable seemed like a perfect excuse to do so. We have some electrical components already planned for the Supertable (lighting and power), and have been wanting to explore further options (like audio, wifi, projections, etc.). This store – a junkyard/heaven (depending on your perspective) – could be a good place to get cheap parts for hacking together our own sound/light system for the Supertable. Outside of the store are cardboard boxes heaped with piles of duct tape, wires, keyboards, and more.
